Rare arboreal and rear-fanged colubrids from documented captive breeding

I work with the care and captive breeding of rare snake species from the family Colubridae, with a particular focus on arboreal species from Central and South America and Southeast Asia.

The focus is on practical husbandry, repeatable conditions and comprehensive records of breeding cycles—from mating through to rearing the young.

Featured species

I currently work mainly with the following genera:

• Oxybelis
• Leptophis
• Ahaetulla
• Chrysopelea
• Thrasops
• Drymobius
• Boiga
• Gonyosoma boulengeri (bluish variation)

Some of these species have demanding husbandry and management requirements and are rarely bred successfully in captivity.

My Approach

All animals are kept under controlled, species-appropriate conditions. The aim is to simulate natural climate zones as closely as possible, particularly with regard to:

• Temperature profiles (day / night)
• Humidity and rainfall cycles
• Seasonal changes
• Feeding Schedule

Each breeding project is documented in full—from mating and egg-laying through hatching and raising the young.
